Finding the essence of what great goal scorers do to create space for themselves for a decent shot on net.
When practicing cutting in on my strong foot and shooting, I found I could do it well in training with no defenders around, but with a defender or two, they often anticipate the shot for a block. Instead, I find Messi and Robben do mini fake shots, criss crosses, and feint so that the defender can’t anticipate when the shot will occur and leave a gap for you to slot it in.
